Château Roland La Garde – Côte de Blaye – Organic – 2019

A great wine from a land of legend: From atop a hill near the town of Blaye, Roland of Roncevaux, Charlemagne's nephew, is said to have hurled his javelin into the waters of the Gironde. This was in the year 775. Having thus proven his valor and strength, he then set out on an expedition. Forming the rearguard of Charlemagne's army, he met his death at Roncevaux.
