Whistlepig 10 years is a Rye Whiskey created by the former Maker's Mark master distiller, Dave Pickerell.
Hard to find, it is distilled and initially matured in Canada, before being aged at the Whistle Pig farm in Vermont. It is made exclusively from rye and offers a full flavor profile of clove, vanilla, and caramel.
Bourbon is the most famous of American whiskeys. But distilleries in the United States produce other styles of whiskey, with rye being one of the most sought-after, especially by bartenders. With the growth of micro-distilleries, some American single malts are also available.
