Sodade – Cana Rocca – Grogue – Cape Verde
The brand, SODADE rum, is a Franco-Cape Verdean human adventure, born from a love of ancient techniques and a way of life.
SODADE, with its Charente origins, is part of a process of seeking quality and promoting ancestral know-how.
In Cape Verde, rum is called "grogue." It's a spirit made from pure sugarcane juice, with a unique taste. The sugarcane varieties are endemic. It's produced in small, family-run distilleries. The sugarcane is grown on terraces and harvested by hand.
The entire manufacturing process takes place on pollution-free land, without the use of chemicals or the addition of sugar or artificial flavorings.
This is a rum with citrus notes. Its smoothness will surprise you. It is made from pure sugarcane juice of the "red cane" variety. Its fermentation, averaging 12 days, imparts a multitude of flavors where animal and vegetal notes coexist harmoniously. Distilled using the pot still method.
