Presentation
2013 was a cooler year in the Charente, marked by slower ripening and preserved acidity. The Dixneuf 2013 keeps this tension in the glass: a straight, elegant cognac with moderate wooded patina. A cuvée for lovers of finely chiselled eaux-de-vie, where fruit takes precedence over wood. Selected for the La Halte Rouillacaise range.
Tasting notes
- Eye : Old-gold robe with straw highlights.
- Nose : Fresh, delicate nose: russet apple, ripe pear, acacia honey. A floral touch (honeysuckle) adds finesse.
- Palate : Lively, clean attack; white fruit dominates. The palate is slender, lightly marked by wood, with a touch of vanilla and toasted bread.
- Finish : Fresh finish, lightly saline, inviting the next sip.
