AIKAN means "marriage" in Arawak, the language of the first inhabitants of Martinique. AIKAN represents a desire for a meeting between two continents (Europe and America), two climates (continental and tropical), and two worlds of spirits (whisky and rum). After distillation in Scotland or mainland France, our Whisky continues its maturation under the tropical climate of Martinique. Whiskies aged under these temperature and humidity conditions are very rare and renowned for their quality. Aïkan Whisky reveals aromas of dried fruit, sweet spices, and precious woods, as well as a subtle smoothness on the palate.
