Presentation
From the Fraichefont estate, this VS lavishly expresses the character of the Fins Bois cru — the largest of the six crus in the delimited Cognac region. Grown on clay-limestone soils that accelerate the maturation of the eaux-de-vie, it offers from the outset a roundness and fruitiness that are instantly accessible. A drinking eau-de-vie, straight and true, selected for the La Halte Rouillacaise range — the signature of our local Charentais selection.
Tasting notes
- Eye : Pale gold robe with copper highlights, bright and crystal-clear.
- Nose : First nose fresh and fruity: golden delicious apple, Williams pear, vine in bloom. With aeration, riper notes emerge — fresh grape, apricot, a hint of linden.
- Palate : Round, supple attack; the fruit bursts on the palate. The characteristic Fins Bois roundness expresses itself fully, on a honeyed mid-palate supported by the controlled warmth of 43 % ABV.
- Finish : Medium-length, fresh finish, with a lingering note of white fruit and a touch of oak.
