Nose : refined vanilla, mint, soft caramel, coconut, citrus, mango, roasted pineapple, apricot, raisins, honeyed spices (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg), roasted nuts, and a subtle barbecue-style smoke.
Palate : crème brûlée, citrus zest, dark chocolate, evolving towards vanilla, caramel, raisins, peach, fig, pepper, ginger and a light blond tobacco.
Finish : Long and warm, with spicy oak, coffee, leather, cedar, delicate smoke and an earthy touch.
ORIGIN : Thailand
DISTILLATION: Molasses rum is distilled in a column still and then aged in a tropical environment in re-charred 200L bourbon barrels.
Finally, it was aged for several months in 225L white Pineau des Charentes Rémi Landier barrels.
Reduction: The rum was carefully reduced to 54.55% and then bottled in November 2025
TAV: 54.55 %.
This 12-Year-Old Thai Rum – Alexandre Vingtier Selections #1 deserves a pure tasting to reveal all the richness of its finish in a barrel of white Pineau des Charentes Rémi Landier.
For an even more accessible approach, add a single drop of water : it opens up the aromatic palette, releasing more exotic fruits, honeyed spices and toasted vanilla.
At the end of a meal, it pairs remarkably well with:
-
A pressed cheese slightly matured (Comté 18 months, Salers),
-
A fruity dessert (mango tart, roasted pineapple),
-
or a light to medium cigar, which prolongs its woody and spicy finish.
