Oban – 14 years old – Highlands

Oban, a small distillery in the Western Highlands, has a unique character made of malt, iodine, salt, fruit and wood fire.

Extensively renovated in the 1890s, it remains one of the oldest and smallest distilleries in Scotland. Due to the limited space between the cliffs and the sea, the bustling little town of Oban has always clustered around its distillery. This natural constraint on its expansion explains why the distillery has always struggled to meet ever-increasing demand.
