Founded in 1979 in the small village of Broughton in southern Scotland, Broughton Ales is Scotland's first microbrewery. From the outset, Broughton Ales's goal has been to produce craft and microbrewed beers, but above all, to innovate and reinvent itself a little more each day. Hopo 6.2 IPA perfectly embodies the pure British style of Indian Pale Ale (IPA), which was developed in 18th-century England for export, notably to supply troops stationed in India. It is a top-fermented beer, containing more alcohol and hops, and therefore keeps better than other beers. This IPA is brewed with four types of hops, giving it aromas of chestnut and cereals. An excellent beer for savoring.
