Crozes Hermitage – Appetizer

75cl – 2018

Having become a major player in just a decade, Emmanuel Darnaud offers us here a seductive and profound wine. This 100% Syrah wine's story began in 2001 with 1.5 hectares of leased vines in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, located south of Tain l'Hermitage. From the outset, Emmanuel Darnaud placed great importance on vinifying each of his parcels separately, in order to highlight all the subtleties and vibrant expressions of the terroir. His ideal is to find the perfect balance by paying particular attention to the harvest. The soils are worked and yields are limited.

This wine pairs beautifully with flavorful cuisine! Try a grilled beef tournedos with potatoes confit in duck fat, or a slow-cooked lamb tagine with prunes. For the cheese course, combine strength and delicacy with a Tomme de Savoie matured with grape marc.
