Nose : Incredibly smoky, roasted. First, the peat weighs heavily on a powerful distillate. Then, notes of yeast and beer evoke the washback. Finally, the stirring of barley takes us back to the malting floor. A return to the roots, in a way! Notes of methane even take us back to the origins of creation.
Palate : Rich, very concentrated. Gives the sensation of participating in the genesis of a single malt. You can imagine the peat vapors rising to the top of the still, the heat of distillation, the coppery notes and the soot on the walls.
Finish : It takes time for its tempestuous character to subside somewhat. However, it stubbornly refuses to be confined by oak. The cereal notes are clearly present. It becomes oceanic (smoked fish, sea spray, ink) and ultimately offers a hint of almond marmalade. Superb salty bitterness.
PEAT: Very peaty
ORIGIN : Scotland
Serve as an aperitif, dry, on ice or with a little water at room temperature.
