This legendary distillery was built in 1923 on the site of the former Caroni sugar mill in Trinidad. Equipped with column and pot stills, it supplied the British Navy with its particularly heavy rums. After being sold by the government and finally closed in 2002, it became legendary when Luca Gargano discovered an abandoned warehouse filled with Caroni barrels. He has bought the lot and created a cult following by only releasing a handful very occasionally.
