The brand, SODADE rum, is a Franco-Cape Verdean human adventure, born from a love of ancient techniques and a way of life.
SODADE, with its Charente origins, is part of a process of seeking quality and promoting ancestral know-how.
In Cape Verde, rum is called "grogue." It's a spirit made from pure sugarcane juice, with a unique taste. The sugarcane varieties are endemic. It's produced in small, family-run distilleries. The sugarcane is grown on terraces and harvested by hand.
The entire manufacturing process takes place on pollution-free land, without the use of chemicals or the addition of sugar or artificial flavorings.

This is a spiced spirit made by blending traditional Cape Verdean grogue made from pure sugarcane juice with caramelized liqueur. To add character and subtle aromas, a maceration of various seeds was undertaken. Aromas of speculoos and lightly spiced coffee will delight your palate. Distillation method: pot still with double distillation and caramelization of pure sugarcane juice in a cauldron.
