March – 8 years old – Asagi Madara

In September 2020, the Mars Shinshu distillery was renovated and expanded 35 years after its founding. This Japanese whisky, aged for at least eight years, has refreshing notes reminiscent of the Shinshu forest and wildflowers. The Asagimadara butterfly (Parantica sita) on the label, known for its long-distance migrations, can be seen in the village of Miyada, where the distillery is located, during the month of September.
