Ch\u00e2teau Pontey Lamartine is located in one of the finest terroirs of the Graves region, in the commune of Portets. The vineyard stretches across gravelly soils. The more or less deep clay-limestone subsoil gives this terroir its unique character in this part of the appellation. From generation to generation, Dominique Haverlan and his family have remained faithful to the Bordeaux terroirs. Dominique embarked on this adventure alone in 1988 with the purchase of Vieux Ch\u00e2teau Gaubert in Portets. He expanded his vineyard in 2004 with the acquisition of vines in Pessac-L\u00e9ognan. His experience with the Graves terroir and Bordeaux grape varieties allows him today to create superb wines like Ch\u00e2teau Pontey Lamartine.<\/p>\n
